A dream of reconciliation, either in reality, or, more likely, an inner reconciliation. Leaving aside the possibility that the dream describes a real situation and looking at it only in symbolic terms, it describes the masculine part of yourself (father) that perhaps acted irresponsibly or uncaringly and that now regrets its behaviour (father crying and apologetic for abandoning me and child). This regret is transformative in that it builds a completely new (his first time) connection or bridge to the child in you (my daughter).
Perhaps you’re now able to be present or responsible in a way that you couldn’t before and this allows the more vulnerable part of yourself (my daughter) to emerge. Sounds like positive progress!
