Getting chased and shot at

While napping I had a horrible dream that my boyfriend and I were at a very big house party in the woods somewhere. It was early evening and good weather. The party was his new friends from the police department and old acquaintances of mine from college plus a few of my family members and their friends. (This would be a highly unusual mix in real life.) I was in a basement that exited to the backyard with my boyfriend and one of his new friends. We were playing with the friends two Bulldog mixes that for some reason I was slightly fearful of, when someone started shooting upstairs. My boyfriend and the guy ran up to see what was going on but didnt come back. Eventually, the shooter came down to the basement so I ran outside where he started chasing me. He shot at me but missed several times. The property was big but fenced so he cornered me behind a tree in the backyard. I looked to jump the fence but on the other side was a steep drop into a rocky fast moving river. The shooter I didnt see until cornered. He was an older man with chin length bright white hair, of tall but average width build. He had a light cream colored suit (almost colonel sanders like!) and shot again before I woke up. Some other details, the house was very mundane and neutral on the inside tan walls and thin industrial carpeting. Outside was very picturesque – New England / mid Atlantic woodsy. The river around the house was bright turquoise-blue. My emotional state in the dream was panic and a lot of worry for my boyfriend rather than anyone else there. Would love to hear what people think!
