My ex girlfriend was attacked with scissors

Me, my ex girlfriend, her best friend, and another girl were driving into a store parking lot when they had stopped the car to pick up a man. He had said we needed to make it quick because he had just killed his girlfriend. I remember myself making a sarcastic comment and we all exited the car. My ex walked out front and the man went after her best friend with scissors then after my ex after failing to take them down. He struck her but she was still alive with him now on top of her. I had picked the scissors he dropped and went after the man to save her. I woke up before I could get to the man. Me n my ex have been broken up for over a year an since then she has suddenly fell in love with a man and they are moving across the country together. I understand it could be my subconscious giving me closure but I truly fear for her safety after this dream. Any help would be great

Interpretation #1

Although, you have ended the relationship, yet there is a part of your heart that still belongs to your ex. The fact that you were willing to put your own life at risk for the sake of helping your girlfriend suggest that you are still deeply in love with her. The dream is hinting that she might not be in the right company and thus if you truly think that there is some hope to rekindle the old flame, you should try to talk to her. Taking her friends in confidence might be a good thing as it can help you get your life back on track.
